About Jan Aushadhi Bppi  kendra  Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana – GENESIS Branded medicines (generic medicines) are sold at significantly higher prices compared to unbranded generic medicines, but they have the same therapeutic value. Given the widespread poverty across the country, making quality generic medicines available in the market at affordable prices will benefit everyone. For this purpose, the Pharmaceutical Advisory Forum in its meeting on April 23, 2008, recommended that generic medicines be sold through dedicated outlets called Pradhan Mantri Bharthiya Janaushadikendras (PMBJKs) in different districts of the country. Starting from , we have decided to launch the Jan Aushadhi campaign. It is proposed to open at least one PMBJK in each of the country’s 630 districts, expanding to sub-district levels as well as larger town and village centers.
BPPI – Pharmaceutical PSU Authority of India BPPI, Implementation Jan Aushadhi Authority was established under Government Pharmacy of India in December 2008 with support from all CPSUs and became independent under the Association in April.

Registered in 2010 as a separate and independent legal entity under the Registration Act 1860.
BPPI complies with the amended provisions of GFR 2005, CVC guidelines and the directions of the Ministry of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
